Because there are so many different grants and funds open it can become confusing to know where to apply.
The Baptist Churches of Northland can work in partnership to show the need of our community by applying individually or together for funding. More applications shows a bigger need and hopefully, more funds become available!
HOW CAN WE HELP?
My name is Jan White, I am a funding facilitator for the Regent Community Trust. (WCBC).
With the help of the Baptist Foundation I am available to help the Northern Front Baptist Churches to get GRANTS.
To describe my role very simply I will:
- Listen to your needs
- Give you ideas on how to consolidate or simplify them
- Marry them to the grants I think are available and most suited
- Help you write the grant and account for it
I can help you write a funding plan for regular income.
Call me: 09 438 3948 Extension 2, and I’ll arrange to come and see you.

HOT TIP!
Keep your church in the mind of funders. Apply at least once a year to:
- The Baptist Foundation.
- The local/regional council.
- A local important funder.
“Your main income should be from those who value you the most; your neighbors, your members, your neighborhood. Your database should include people you can shoulder tap, regular donations and bequeaths. Your financial policy should allow for a reserve to pillow your finances so that you never need to rely on “emergency grants”.
“When writing a grant application you are aiming for a 40% success rate, so make sure you have copies of everything, & plenty of time & energy to re-apply.”
“Grant funding works best when you have a minimum 12 month plan and you are applying half a year before you need the funds.”
